Internal Memory is the memory available on board (chip or, motherboard) which is given while manufacturing at factory. It cannot be expanded, shared or removed. Sometimes this internal memory is fixed for installing application only. In this case, this memory cannot be user accessible. On other cases, internal memory is divided into two parts. In one section is restricted and not user accessible and another section is user accessible where, one can store media files. For example, Sony’s XPERIA U has internal memory of 8 GB (4 GB user available). Contacts, Call logs, text and multimedia massages are also stored in Internal Memories. Master/factory resetting or updating software or flashing phone firmware may wipe out the files stored in an internal memory.
